Pete was a very active water polo player for Penguin in the 50s, 60s and 70s and was Club Captain in 1967. He was a highly amiable guy and, as someone said, “He was one of a kind – he never had a bad word to say about anybody.”
Pete is seen here (centre) in an extract of a Penguin Club photo taken in about 1961.
He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends. Our condolences go to his widow Jean and to his sons Simon and Mark.
Jean has invited Penguins that knew Peter to join her and her family in a celebration of Peter’s life at Christ Church, The Common, Chorleywood, Herts WD3 5SG on Wednesday 25th August at 1.30 pm. And, after the celebration, at the Hertfordshire Bowling Club which Jean and Peter loved so much (Bellmount Wood Avenue, Watford WD17 3BT).
