It was a weekend of mixed fortunes at Cardiff International Pool but Penguin secured their place in the ‘top five’ for phase two of their British League season.
The first match against Bristol was a close-run affair with Bristol taking the win 10-12. We faced a second defeat against Portabello, 11-17 but rallied in our third game to beat Cheltenham 9-7.
This weekend’s results put us in fifth place in the table ahead of the top five/bottom five split for the remainder of the season. As part of the top five we’ll now be facing Manchester, Lancaster, Bristol and Cheltenham in matches through to December.
