The opposition proved too strong in our final two games of BWPL Women’s Super 5s in Guildford yesterday. But despite this we still finished 5th in the league overall.
Otter’s scoreline raced away from the outset, whereas our shots could only hit the woodwork and never found the back of the goal. Although there were some great saves by goalie Lorelle it was runaway victory for our London rivals. See photos from the match (with thanks to Trevor Hyde).
Manchester proved equally masterful with lightning quick attacks that took them to a resounding win.
However our first team can still be proud of their achievements. It was always going to be a tough season – we had no pool time over the summer, we said goodbye to several seasoned team mates and we’ve been plagued by injury. However we held our place in the top division and it was great to have new members Chev and Justine make their BWPL debut this weekend.
