As part of his 2014 Tour of Britain, mascot Stu the Penguin headed to Swansea in Wales for the British Gas Swim Wales Open Masters meet.
Happily inflated, Stu rode in the back of David’s car with Olatz Beitia for the three hour journey to Swansea on Friday evening, in readiness for the meet next day. Richard Royal, Camille Vrain and Dylan Tanner made up the rest of the Penguin team but they opted for the dreaded 6am drive from London on the Saturday morning. Yet still they managed to arrive at the pool before the Friday group!
For the next two days, Stu proudly gathered our gold, silver and bronze medals. Total tally: 5 gold, 10 silver, 3 bronze in the individuals, plus a gold in the relays. And at the end of the meet Stu even received a special shout from the MC for his support in making this event a success!

To end the weekend we went for a well-deserved lunch of chips and mushy peas, while discovering the beautiful beach of Mumbles on the Atlantic (no swimming though)! Then it was back to London.
See the results here.
Stu will be back on the road on April 13th with the team travelling to the Gloucester Masters Meet.
