The Gloucester Masters Meet was our third event of the year and despite being the most competitive so far, the team returned with nine medals (three golds, four silvers, two bronze) and a host of new personal bests. One of the non-Penguin highlights was watching a 25yr-old Cardiff swimmer complete the 200m Freestyle in 2:13:29 by doing the whole event in butterfly!
I was pleased to smash my 200m Freestyle personal best by eleven seconds and take bronze in my age group with a time of 2:39:88. I bettered my 100m Freestyle personal best by three seconds to finish in 1:06:60; and my 50m Freestyle by over a second to finish in 29:28.
Andrew Swift beat his 50m and 100m Breaststroke times by nearly half a second each to take two silver medals (35:56 and 1:17:78 respectively). He also won gold in the hardcore 400m IM with a time of 5:46:10. Respect!

David won a silver medal in the 100m Breaststroke with a time of 1:39:09. He beat his 50m Fly pb by half a second to finish in 40:59, and swam a new 50m Freestyle pb with 34:97.
In the 100m Breaststroke Camille Vrain beat her personal best by two seconds and was unlucky to miss out on a bronze medal with a time of 1:27:71. She also beat her 100m IM time by over two seconds, finishing with 1:19:06. She took a silver medal in the 50m Freestyle.
Olatz Beitia won two golds in the 100m Breaststroke (1:41:15) and the 50m Breaststroke. She also beat her 100m Freestyle estimated time by nine seconds to finish in 1:41:15.
