Middlesex Masters Swim Meet was held on a beautiful sunny day on 1 June. Unfortunately my morning was not so sunny, having snoozed through my alarm, I left myself approximately half an hour to exit the house and meet the Penguins to head to the pool.
Not having competed in seven years and only been in the team for two months, I was most definitely nervous getting back on the blocks. Other team members were in the same boat and together we made a pact to turn our nerves into excitement. This proved a huge success the team having gained 4 golds, 6 silvers and 10 bronze.

It was a great experience to compete once again, to watch others gain several PBs and to be part of a relay team made me want to do it all over again.
After a successful competition, the colony migrated to the pub to celebrate.
