Well done to the Hillingdon Penguin Under 12s water polo team on their performance in the London Water Polo League Winter Championships.
In the first tournament, the team’s inexperience showed and they lost all their matches. But by the third and final tournament, they had a complete turn-around, with wins in all but one game (results: against Chelmsford 4-4, Beckenham 4-3, Ealing 4-2 and Croydon 4-6).
This Under 12s team was formed at the start of 2015. Competing in the London Water Polo League has been tough because the other teams at this level are so well established. However our Juniors have have trained hard, improving their water polo skills and tactics, and working on their swimming speed and stamina by attending regular swim training with Forward Hillingdon Squad.
The photo shows the team’s delight after beating Ealing 15:5 in the 2nd tournament. The team are : Nikola Christov, Georgia Mouratidi, Luke Wang, Abelardo Cardenas, Joshua Pan, Inesh Warnapala, Jay Jadeja, Audrey Tala, Antonio Bardella and Dan Usher.

The team will progress to become Under 13s in the Summer League.
Thank you to the team’s parents for all the encouragement and patience, and transporting them to competitions.
