Hillingdon Juniors hosted a Friendly Water Polo Tournament on Sunday 17 March. We invited teams from Enfield and John Lyon School in Harrow. The intention was to give our older players a rare chance to compete.

Matches were arranged for two teams from each club, alternating between Under-19 and LYG (the borough-wide teams we are developing to enter the London Youth Games in June).

In the event, Enfield could only persuade 11 players to come, so their team competed in both categories. Their stamina was amazing!

The results were:
Hillingdon LYG 2 v Harrow LYG 4
Enfield 4 v Harrow U19 3
Harrow LYG 4 v Enfield 0
Hillingdon U19 4 v Harrow U19 1
Enfield 2 v Hillingdon LYG 5
Hillingdon U19 3 v Enfield 1
Many thanks to Martin Waller from Enfield and John Nikolovski from John Lyon for bringing teams, coaching and refereeing. Thanks also to Shaun Hill, Adam Maidment and Michelangelo Tritto for coaching the Hillingdon teams, refereeing and set up. Thumbs up too to Keith Gilmore and Andrew Jolly who now know how to run the table.
This Friendly was funded by a grant from the Jack Petchey Foundation, for which we are very grateful.
